A hallucination, is a perception in the absence of a stimulus. Does she perceive things that aren't there? Spiders? Bugs? Does she freak out for no reason?

Hallucinations can occur in any sense — visual, auditory, olfactory, gustatory, tactile, proprioceptive, equilibrioceptive, nociceptive, and thermoceptive.

Hallucinations may be as little as seeing something out of the corner of your eye or hearing voices. Hallucinations are often a sign of drug use or mental disorder.

It should be noted that hypnogogic hallucinations are normal - occuring as one is falling asleep or when waking up

Common traits of a person having hallucinations:

• they are talking with imaginary people
• they refer to things and fail to accurately remember them
• they make quick physical action as if something is there
